Ozone Tanning Parlour & Beach Wear

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to get tan?
You will see results after your very first session. It usually takes 4 to 5 sessions (within a 10-day period) to get a base tan. Read about our Tanning booths to learn which booth is best for you. Also, we recommend you use our indoor tanning lotions on your skin and maximize your tanning potential.

Do I need to wear eye protection?
Yes. It's very important to us that your tanning experience is as safe and enjoyable as possible. Ozone requires its customers to use approved eye protection in our salons, to prevent future vision problems that can be caused by UV exposure.

Why should I use lotion?
Our lotions have been created especially for use in our indoor tanning booths and will keep your skin hydrated and healthy. You will tan about twice as fast and keep your tan twice as long.

Should I Use Lotion While Tanning Indoors?
Skin moisture will increase the chances of a successful tan. Most tanning lotions are intended to provide moisture either during or after your tanning session. Most lotions have important vitamins that allow you to achieve a deep, dark tan without having your skin peel, which can result in splotching and fading.

What is a photosensitizing medication?
Some medications cause your skin to be especially sensitive to UV light. If you are taking any prescription medications, ask your doctor if it is safe for you to tan. If it is not safe for you to tan, our VersaSpa™ Sunless Tanning System by MagicTan®, is a great alternative.

Can I Tan Indoors While Pregnant?
Tanning beds are not recommended for pregnant women. Although there is no correlation between tanning beds and damage to an unborn child, pregnant women are advised to stay away from anything that raises body temperature. While pregnant, your best option is to tan outdoors with direct sunlight while using an SPF lotion that will not penetrate into your bloodstream.

Can I Tan While on Medication?
If you're taking medication, consult your physician before using a tanning bed. Some medications are sensitive to light, or "photosensitive." This can increase your risk of severe sunburn. A long list of medications can cause a photosensitive reaction, so check with your doctor for a list of these medications.

Should I Wear Eye Protection While Tanning?
It is highly recommended that eye protection be worn while using a tanning bed. At Ozone we have several style and types of goggles available for purchase. Goggles protect against UV rays, which can penetrate the eyelids - even when the eyes are closed - and cause irreversible eye damage.

How Often Can I Tan?
Tanning salons will advise you and put you on a tanning regiment to minimize your risk of burning.

Do men tan?
Yes! At Ozone over 35% of our clients are men!

Are All Ozone Tanning Parlours connected?
Yes! WAN (Wide Area Network) technology allows you the convenience of accessing your tanning package from any of our locations.
